AB1448 (Hart) is a two-year bill that focuses on current gaps in state law that leave untoward paths for federal oil expansion through existing infrastructure in state waters.

AB1448 takes a firm stand against efforts to expand drilling off our coast, to protect against associated risks to California interests.

July means its legislative recess time in Sacramento until August 3rd. In collaboration with the CA State Lands Commission, AB1448 is currently being amended and will go to the Senate floor for a vote later in August. It is making great progress but we need your help to keep up the momentum. Call your state senator and encourage them to support AB1448 (Hart).
