Department of Interior opens comment period on offshore drilling
Last month, the federal administration announced plans to develop the next 5-year offshore drilling plan and opened a public comment period that expires on June 16. This is a key opportunity for businesses to urge the federal government to protect the West Coast and other U.S. regions from new offshore drilling. During the first Trump administration, BOEM included the West Coast in its draft 5-year plan proposal. Grassroots opposition from businesses was critical to stopping this dangerous plan from being finalized. Now, BAPPC is urging our members to once again submit comments to protect the West Coast.
